It’s sad when things change.

Things you used to worry about don’t matter anymore.. people you used to think about a lot never cross your mind.

It’s like when you were a little kid and you were afraid of failing, but when that moment came you didn’t feel anything at all. It’s the worst when there’s nothing you can do to get that care back.

I guess I’m sorta indifferent.

I’m so lucky I got airport standby on Thursday, pulled from the YEG deadhead, taken off the San Diego turn and called for a HKG l/o. I am soo (so, so, so, so!) thankful… and it makes me wonder where I get all this good luck from. Whoever my guardian angel is, thank you!!!!!!!

If I did the San Diego turn, I would’ve returned to YYZ at 10:30 pm making me illegal for the HKG. I guess everything does happen and fall into place for a reason.

Most enjoyable layover I’ve ever had, and more to come tomorrow. I’m already sad about leaving. Good thing I have a couple days off to look forward to

Daddy took this one night when we were in Alaska. How peaceful is this? As much as I love a winter wonderland and all the fun activities that come with it, I could seriously use a night on a cruise – sitting on the balcony, drinking hot chocolate, listening to music, starring at nothing but this…

It’s days off like this I need to put aside time for myself, no work, no stress, no thoughts; just me and the things I love – music, snacks, tv, and doing my nails! Don’t make fun, it de-stresses me. OH, don’t forget ginger ale. Yes, a can of ginger can make me happy.

I’ve noticed that we often listen to other peoples stories and out of comfort and politeness reply with “I know what you mean.” But of course deep down we don’t. Knowing comes with the price of experience, and not necessarily good ones. Not knowing, is bliss.

I am soo hilariously tired…. words can’t even explain how tired I am.

I can’t complain though – I had an awesome crew on my first pairing and I’m actually kinda sad that it’s over.
